| Connie's
work has been shown and collected both nationally and internationally and
has been featured in numerous publications. Her work is mainly soda
glazed in a high temperature gas kiln but she also uses low-temperature
salt firing to create unique, dynamic effects on her thrown pieces.
She says, "Vapour glazing appeals to me because of its unpredictability.
I like to give up control and leave part of the firing process to chance,
to allow for the magical transformation that happens in the kiln. |
