| JAN
MACLEOD is a lifetime resident of British Columbia, who has studied and
practiced her art for the past twenty years.
In
1980 Jan developed a new technique for an unusual type of textured paper
made exclusively from plants.
She
gathers such plants as straw, moss, rush, grass and blossoms which are
then cut, processed, cast and dried in individual screens to make the paper
sheets. Subtle colours from permanent dyes often highlight and enhance
the papers natural sheen.
Jan's
work is in private and corporate collections as well as juried and group
exhibitions.
She
currently resides in Vancouver where she is a full time paper/fibre artist. |
